UPLIFTING LATINO YOUTH
The Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund's mission is to uplift the lives of Latino youth through food. Our areas of programming include culinary arts education, mentorship, and human services focused on food access and nutrition education.
Our signature program is the Aarón Sánchez Scholarship that empowers Latino youth through culinary education, mentorship, and industry experience in an effort to diversify kitchen leadership for future generations. Since 2016, we have awarded 15 culinary arts scholarships valued at $975,000. Our scholarship award includes full-tuition and supplies to attend culinary school, along with housing, utilities, travel to and from the school, a monthly grocery stipend, an unlimited subway card, and mentorship from Chef Aarón Sánchez and other culinary professionals.
The Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund is a program of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, a 501c3 public charity located in New Orleans, and receives financial support through charitable donations from individuals, corporations and foundations, as well as special events.
